Holiday Entitlement 20 days per annum (Written permission from Directors should be granted before booking a holiday – using holiday request form)

Tents and Events are one of the largest event hire companies in the North West and are growing year on year. Founded in 1995 the family run company has gone from success to success and is no ordinary marquee hire company.


Along with a successful marquee business, Tents & Events now includes Chalet Events, as one of its sister companies, a leading market force in the hiring of wooden chalets for Christmas Markets and Festihuts for accommodation at summer festivals.


The Role:


The company is seeking an experienced event site supervisor, taking responsibility for chalet installation and de-rigs at events nationwide. 


The candidate should have exceptional practical and organisational skills. An ability to adapt to any situation, and who would become a fundamental part of a team, who is willing to grow with the company and take it forward.  Working at some of the biggest festivals in the summer and at some of Britain’s biggest Christmas Markets.


Main Purpose of the Job


  • Build relations with clients on site to make sure their vision is met.


  • To be the Team Leader for Chalet site installations and de-rigs


  • Planning the installation and removal of the chalets on site


  • Driving vehicles as required to deliver, chalets, marquees and associated equipment


  • Take site responsibility for Installing and removing, Chalets and associated equipment in a safe and professional manner and ensure procedures are adhered too.


  • Working closely with Operations for organising delivery and collecting of chalets and marquees as required.


  • Make sure all chalets are fit for purpose to hire out to the public


  • Manage the stock to ensure quality and stock availability and carry out repairs as requested


Main Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities


Being responsible for a team of people to ensure the success of an event and ensure all jobs are completed to the high standards the company needs to maintain.


Being responsible for the Chalet Storage and ensure the premises is well maintained and secure.


Ensure all equipment is maintained, stored and transported in a suitable manner.


Ensure full compliance for Driver regulations and team well-being.


Be a practical hands-on person cable of carrying out repairs to both wood and metal work.


HGV Driver Preferred (not essential).


Moffet / forklift driver (training can be provided).


Special Requirements


To work weekends as required to satisfy business needs – (minimum 2 days / month between May – September)


To work overtime as required to meet the business demands


Only take one week (5 days) of holiday entitlement between May – September.
